
Mary Lagman Hammond
Founder and President
Mary has over twenty-five years’ experience as a legal assistant with certifications in litigation and real estate. She has spent the last 20+ years at Greenberg Glusker, a Los Angeles-based law firm. Throughout her career, she has taken on various side projects, including copy editing for Bleacher Report and her own grant writing business. However, the driving force in her life is her faith and service, leading her to work with various nonprofits in the. Her focus is primarily with A New Way of Life re-entry legal clinic assisting the formerly incarcerated, and Food Forward, a food recovery organization, where she as a community ambassador and glean team leader at farmers markets. In her free time, you will find Mary running. A lot. She is also an avid traveler and has hiked into Machu Picchu, snuck into Cuba, and spent the night in the middle of a volcano.

LaShaneé King
Board Member
LaShaneé is a recent graduate of the UC Davis School of Law. She was born and raised in Los Angeles and attended Columbia University in New York. She hopes to remain in Sacramento to pursue a career in public interest and public policy. LaShaneé has particular interest in issues that relate to youth and juvenile justice, criminal reform, women’s rights, and the political and economic advancement of communities of color. LaShaneé’s family is her biggest motivation. She is the oldest of five children, an aunt to her five-month old nephew, and a dog-mom to her beautiful, blue-nosed pitbull, Blu. She hopes to help create a world in which each of them feels respected, loved, seen, and included.

Kim Tran
Chief Financial Officer
Kim is Senior Director of Business and Legal Affairs at Oak View Group, an American global advisory, development and investment company for the sports and live entertainment industries. She brings a high level of analysis and implementation in this quickly growing company as it expands to now 26 world-class venues. Last year she launched the company’s diversity committee in the hopes of furthering equity and inclusion at all levels of the firm. As a first-generation American, she is familiar with the commitment and determination it takes to succeed in difficult circumstances, and this experience has led to her spearheading the operational arm of Mila’s Bridge, a nonprofit which seeks to bridge the gap between immigrants and professionals and offer free services, including financial, legal, and medical. In her free time, Kim enjoys dining at a wide range of establishments and was designated Yelp Elite for six years. She achieved her biggest foodie aspiration by securing an invite to the highly exclusive hole-in-the-wall Totoraku.

Wellington Phillips
Board Member
Wells is the quintessential multi-hyphenate. He brings an extensive marketing background having worked with global retail brands and city agencies, and as an advisor to the committee overseeing the Tom Bradley Scholarship for All City Employees Benefits Association, he has assisted with the award of over $50,000 in scholarships to the children of City employees. In 2020, Wells was featured in Forbes and the Los Angeles Times when he and his friends found a fun and unique way to spread positivity and give back to the community via the NBA Bubble. In addition, Wells is a highly sought-after DJ in Los Angeles and has served up sounds for some of the most iconic brands and names including Nike, Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, and the NFL Network. He is proud father to a 10-year old bulldog named Drizzy.

Melanie Lewis
Secretary
Native Californian Melanie brings a uniquely valuable set of skills and resources to her clients in the high-end Los Angeles real estate market as part of the Sally Forster Jones Group at Compass. Her keen sense of home marketing, valuable connections and strong insight into Los Angeles and its real estate trends has afforded her the opportunity to represent many of the city’s finest properties in upscale neighborhoods from the Westside to the Hancock Park/Los Feliz neighborhoods and to help buyers and sellers close rewarding transactions promptly and smoothly. Melanie is a member of Beverly Hills Greater Los Angeles Association of Realtors. As an active participant in the Beverly Hills Women’s Club and Ebell of Los Angeles, she helps promote the organizations’ philanthropic, educational and cultural programs throughout the city. She also contributes to a range of worthwhile charitable organizations.
